Cardiff 'pray' for Sala

The French Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the 28-year-old was onboard a plane that has gone missing while travelling from Nantes to Cardiff late on Monday.

A statement from Cardiff executive director and CEO Ken Choo on Tuesday read: "We were very shocked upon hearing the news that the plane had gone missing. We expected Emiliano to arrive last night into Cardiff and today was due to be his first day with the team.

"Our owner, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, and chairman, Mehmet Dalman, are all very distressed about the situation.

US-based Ocean Infinity had been using a deep-sea vessel to survey a vast area of the southern Indian Ocean.

But it found nothing and Malaysia's government says it has no plans to begin any new searches.

The plane disappeared on 8 March 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board.

Official search efforts ended last year and there are still fierce debates about what happened to the flight.

Grace Nathan, whose mother was on MH370, said she was opposed to ending the hunt.

Search for missing Fiji Cessna

The Cessna 172 from the Pacific Flying School was carrying a flight instructor and a student pilot when it disappeared.

Lieutenant Sairusi Colati from the Fiji Rescue Co-ordination Centre said the search, which included soldiers and police, was continuing southwest of Labasa.

He said airborne and ground searchers were being used with their attention now focussed by information from villagers near Mt Delaikoro in the middle of Vanua Levu.

EgyptAir Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo 'disappears from radar'

It says there are 59 passengers and 10 crew members on board Flight MS804.

BBC reports the aircraft was flying at 37,000ft (11,300m) when it went missing over the eastern Mediterranean. An official said the plane lost contact with radar at 02:45 Cairo time (00:45 GMT).
