Life PNG Care gets K5,000 assistance

LPNGC helps to keep disadvantaged and vulnerable children away from the streets and in school.

The donation will go towards LPNGC’s ‘Strongim Pikinini Education Program (SPEP) to keep up to 75 street kids enrolled in schools in the National Capital District.

The kids from as young as 6 to 19 years old and come from different  backgrounds and include orphans and neglected or abandon children.Twenty of the 75 kids were females.

The kids are enrolled in four secondary and 10 primary schools.

PMMI building closure notice lifted

Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC), the owner of the building in a statement said: “The NCDC Health Inspectors last Friday inspected PMMI Building and to their satisfaction issued a clearance notice lifting the condemnation on the building.”

The building was issued an indefinite closure notice on Friday January 8 by the town authority because the air conditioning system of the building broke down creating unpleasant and non-conducive working environment, posing health concerns for tenants and the general public at large.
