Northcoast Aviation Makes Lifesaving Flight

Almost 45 years of negligence in health services has nearly cost the life of a young man, Bomai Jacob in Yowai Ward 6 of Nomane Rural Local Level Government.

Bomai was flown into Kundiawa for medical treatment. A local community leader, Motsy David who was present at the scene said the pilot had to take a detour to transport the patient to safety.

Mr David said he had hired the plane to do some community awareness during the 2021 Christmas season and the 2022 New Year games hosted in the District.

Risky Birth

Unsupervised deliveries by mothers is risky, says Manolos chief executive officer, Captain Jurgen Ruh.

Captain Ruh voiced his concern following the numerous medevacs conducted into rural PNG where he saw firsthand the pain and struggles mothers endure.

Morobean women ensured smooth medivac

The eight women used brute force to break open a welded gate for Manolos to access its fuel depot and smoothly conduct its operations.

The situation arose when the Morobe Sustainable Investment Ltd, a provincial government business arm, locked their main gate and welded the depot gate shut early this week over claims of rental arrears.

Fuel trucks and the Manolos ambulance drive into the MSIL premises to access the depot gate.
