Jose off as Man Utd draw again

Diafra Sakho gave the Hammers the lead after just two minutes when he headed in Dimitri Payet's free-kick.

But United responded midway through the first half when Zlatan Ibrahimovic flicked past Darren Randolph from Paul Pogba's pass over the top.

Pogba was booked for diving shortly afterwards, an incident that enraged Mourinho and saw him sent from the sidelines for kicking a water bottle in frustration.

It is the second time in the space of a month that Mourinho has been sent to the stands after his dismissal during the goalless draw against Burnley.

'Only three Manchester United players good enough for rivals'

The Red Devils spent big over the summer in an effort to force their way back into the elite group of challengers capable of competing for the top-flight crown.

A record-breaking deal brought Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford from Juventus, while the presence of Jose Mourinho in the dugout helped to lure Zlatan Ibrahimovic to England at the end of his PSG contract.

Mills feels both of those acquisitions are of the required standard, but would only put goalkeeper David de Gea alongside them in that bracket.

Former Manchester United star could still join Brisbane Roar

The Courier-Mail have reported that Roar haven't given up on signing the former Uruguay international, although Forlan is unavailable until midway through the 2016-17 A-League season.

While the policy was set up for players to join for a full season, there is speculation that FFA would allow Forlan to move to Brisbane in January if a deal could be completed.

Brisbane were heavily linked with Forlan in August and it was understood that FFA considered the 37-year-old forward to meet the marketing criteria inherent to the guest marquee rule.

Rooney: I got slaughtered over Allardyce claims

England captain Wayne Rooney accused ex-manager Sam Allardyce of leaving him to be "battered" by claiming the Manchester United star could play "wherever he wants" for his country.

Allardyce made the pronouncement during a post-match news conference after the 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Slovakia last month, where Rooney was deployed in a deep-lying midfield role with mixed results.

Ibrahimovic helps Man Utd to Europa League win

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the second-half winner with his first goal in five matches, nodding in substitute Wayne Rooney's mis-hit shot at the far post.

It was United's first effort on target, despite dominating at Old Trafford.

Zorya offered little threat, although Sergio Romero had to be alert to save Paulinho's shot just before the winner.

Jose Mourinho clashes are 'prehistoric', says Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri

The champions play Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, with the two managers having clashed in the past.

Mourinho called Ranieri "a loser" after replacing him at Chelsea and also insulted him while being the Inter Milan boss.

Ranieri said: "Mourinho is a fantastic manager, intelligent, clever. [The issues] were a long time ago”.

Mourinho replaced Ranieri at Chelsea in 2004 and said the club considered the Italian to be "a loser", before the pair repeatedly fell out while both managing in Serie A.

United, Chelsea failed Falcao – Vasilyev

Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev criticised Manchester United and Chelsea over their lack of patience and care with Radamel Falcao.

Falcao, 30, endured two miserable seasons in the Premier League, first with United and then with Chelsea as he netted just five goals in all competitions.

The Colombia striker returned to Monaco for this season and has already struck twice in three games.

Vasilyev was unimpressed by how United and Chelsea treated Falcao, who he believes will return to his best.

Rashford's injury- time winner gives Man Utd win at Hull

The 18-year-old - making his first appearance of the season - steered home Wayne Rooney's cross to spark wild celebrations on the away bench.

Moments earlier, David Meyler had blazed over in a rare Hull attack.

Mourinho: Pogba is world's best midfielder

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes Paul Pogba is the world's best midfielder, but does not expect the France international to produce fireworks every week.

While Pogba became the world's most expensive transfer with his move from Juventus to United, he is not expected to score as many goals as the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Paul Pogba: France midfielder rejoins Manchester United for world record £89m

The 23-year-old midfielder returns after four years away, having left United for Juventus for £1.5m in 2012.

Pogba, who signed a five-year deal, added: "This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game."

Jose Mourinho said Pogba would be "the heart of the club" for the next decade.

United will pay the Italian champions 105m euros for Pogba, plus performance-related bonuses and other costs.

It surpasses Wales forward Gareth Bale's £85m move to Real Madrid in 2013 as the biggest transfer deal in history.
