Man arrested over Australian couple’s disappearance

Russell Hill, 74, and Carol Clay, 73, were last heard from on 20 March last year when they called a friend from their remote campsite in Victoria.

Despite one of the state's largest missing person investigations, there has been no trace of the hikers since.

On Tuesday, Victoria Police said they had arrested a 55-year-old man from Melbourne in connection with the case.

He is being questioned by police but has not been charged.

Investigators believe Mr Hill and Ms Clay went missing shortly after the call to their friend using a high-frequency radio.

Man arrested over bomb threat near US Capitol

 

The man, identified as Floyd Ray Roseberry, 49, surrendered hours after the threat was made.

US Capitol Police had been negotiating with the driver who had parked a pick-up truck near the Library of Congress, across the street from the Capitol building and Supreme Court.

His motives remain unknown. Police are still searching the vehicle.

Congress is currently in recess, but some staff are working in the Capitol. Several office buildings were evacuated.

Man arrested after incident at Harry Potter studio

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said the unnamed man was "arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm".

According to The Mirror, the incident occurred on the set of a new film version of Roald Dahl's The Witches.

Leavesden was where the eight films in the Harry Potter series were shot.

Part of the lot is now taken by the Making of Harry Potter tourist attraction.

According to Hertfordshire Constabulary, police were called around 12:35 BST on Wednesday to reports of an incident.

Man arrested after bus stop exposure

 It was at the bus stop opposite the main roundabout after Rainbow suburb.

 The 45 year old man was picked up by the police after he was trying to urinate near the main bus stop.

Police allege that the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident after which he was taken to the Gerehu station and told to sleep off the effects of the alcohol.

The man will be charged with drinking in a public place as well as indecent public exposure after he revealed his private parts to some women who were waiting at the bus-stop area.
