Madonna granted permission to adopt two children from Malawi

The country's High Court made the ruling today.

The singer already has two children from the African country - David, adopted in 2006, and Mercy, adopted in 2009.

Malawian judiciary spokesman Mlenga Mvula said the singer was inside the court in Lilongwe when the ruling was given.

"In fact, at the time we were granting her the permission she was in the courtroom with her lawyers," Mr Mvula said.

But less than two weeks ago Madonna denied reports she'd applied to adopt any more children, during a charity visit to Malawi.

Madonna: 'Blowing up White House' taken out of context

But the superstar singer stirred controversy with some of her more passionate remarks at the Washington, D.C. event.

That's because in addition to dropping a few "F-bombs," she also indicated just how upset the election results had made her.

"Yes, I'm angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House," Madonna said. "But I know that this won't change anything. We cannot fall into despair."

In an Instagram posting on Sunday, Madonna said she wanted to clarify her statements.

Madonna takes off her clothes, endorses Hillary Clinton

The 58-year-old star took to Twitter to post a racy snap with the caption “[I’m] voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary. She's the Best we got! Nude Voting series # 1.”

She also stood up for Rosie O’Donnell, who has been in a heated feud with republican candidate Donald Trump.

Madonna’s nude snap came on the heels of Perry’s “Funny or Die” video that showed the “Rise” singer heading to polls and stripping down.

Madonna starts intimate Melbourne gig four hours late

What was supposed to be a rare and intimate gig at the 1,500-seat Forum Theatre on Thursday turned into fan frustration - at least for a little while -  because of undisclosed delays.

Digital Spy has reached out to Madonna's representatives for comment on the matter.

Melbourne's show was not a standard date on the Material Girl's 'Rebel Heart Tour' – rather a specially-crafted event celebrating Madonna's return to Australia after 23 years.
