LDC sign MOU for legislature

LCD Chairman Martin Ginyaru and Managing Director Terry Koim signed the MoU with the consultants in Port Moresby today.

Mr Koim said the MoU is to empower the consultants to proceed with a nationwide consultation towards formulation of a legislature.

He said the LDC Board & management expects to have a draft policy ready for tabling in the November Parliament.

LDC eyes restocking of Baiyer ranch

LDC Managing Director, Terry Koim said this comes after the conclusion of a six-month-long land reclamation and boundary re-identification survey project initiated in 2022.

He is currently on site to oversee the final leg of the project on portions 156 and 157, stated that it was first initiated to reclaim state lease lands as directed by the government in 2020.

Buying point for Sialum

The Government will set up a buying point for all agriculture produce at remote Sialum in Tewai-Siassi, Morobe Province, according to Agriculture and Livestock Minister John Simon.

 

Simon make this announcement at Kanome Station in Sialum recently when launching the Tewai-Siassi Cattle Farmers’ Market Support Project.
