League bilong Laif holds clinic for students

The clinic is part of the League Bilong Laif program and promotes messages of “respect” and the “importance of education”.

Today’s event attracts students from all grades at the primary level participating in activities of the day which includes the Basic Rugby League Skills, Introducing Attacker and Defenders, Reading, Decision Making and  Games.

Children had fun learning the Rugby skills as part of their education as well as learning to respect when the NRL team urged the children to take part in the activities.

League goes to special needs children

The students in port Moresby were privileged to be inspired and encouraged by paralympian silver medalist Francis Kompaon when he visited their school.

"We all have the same rights and responsibilities regardless of the disabilities and in any way we contribute to the social wellbeing of a family and nation, either big or small," Kompaon said.

"Being disabled doesn’t mean you are not fit. It simply means you are able to do things in another way which other people can’t," he added
