Sir Ronald’s Final Journey

They were joined by joined by member for Gazelle Jelta Wong, Provincial Administrator Wilson Matava and members of the East New Britain Provincial Executive Council (ENB PEC).

The casket was accompanied by the immediate family and close relatives.

Late Sir Ronald’s casket was received at the tarmac by a combined police and Correctional Service guard-of-honor, followed with a display of traditional Tolai Chief welcome rituals, before they were received by the MP Wong, Mr Matava and members of the ENB PEC.

Final Tributes Made for Late Sir. Ronald ToVue

Late Sir Ronald ToVue passed away at the age of 88 in Port Moresby, on the 25th of December 2021 after battling a long illness.

The former premier of East New Britain was well known in his home province as a prominent leader and respected Senior Statesman in the country.

His eulogy was delivered by nephew, Hosea Turbarat who made mention of it being written down by Sir Ronald himself.  

Wong Pays Tribute To Late Sir Ronald ToVue

Sir Ronald, 88 of Ratavul Village in Rabaul District, passed away on Saturday 25 December, in Port Moresby after battling a long illness.

Minister Wong said ENB has lost another prominent leader who had contributed immensely to developing the province.

“Sir Ronald was among pioneer leaders such as late Sir Paulias Matane, Sir Rabbie Namaliu, Martin ToVadek, Vin ToBaining, Oscar Tammur, Damien Kereku, Sir Henry ToRobert and Sir John Kaputin who devotedly worked hard to build the foundation in ENB and we are lucky to be here today,” said Minister Wong.
