Big Mountain set to rock Port Moresby

The band arrived in the country this week and performed on Thursday night for Lae fans at the Ascots Nightclub. They arrived in Moresby from Lae this afternoon.

Big Mountain is known for its cover version of Peter Frampton's "Baby, I Love Your Way," which became a Top 10 hit single in the U.S. in early 1994.

The band is excited to be back in the country after performing for the first time in 2013 and looking forward to performing again on stage in front of the Moresby fans.

Insufficient evidence found against Blackwood

Blackwood was facing allegations he assaulted a guard at the Lamana Gold club on Jan 18, 2015 during the Michael Learns to Rock concert in Port Moresby.

He was charged for causing grievous bodily harm to Kavora Lare between 12midnight and 1am on Jan 18, 2015 outside the Lamana Gold Club car park.

This resulted in Lare sustaining multiple bruises and swelling to his face, a fractured nasal bone and laceration of the upper left eye lid.

Two weeks away from UB40 shows

The band arrives in the country next week and those wanting to attend are urged to quickly purchase a ticket to avoid missing out.

Due to popular demand, Laman Hotel is bringing back UB40 to perform at its Gold Club on Friday 22 January and at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday 23rd Jan.

More than 15,000 tickets started selling last month at Lamana Hotel's reception and selected City Pharmacy Limited outlets.

Tickets for the club show are selling at K250 arena, K350 balcony and K400 Temple balcony.

Tickets start selling for UB40 shows

More than 15,000 tickets started selling on Friday (11 Dec) at Lamana Hotel's reception and also at selected City Pharmacy Limited outlets.

Due to popular demand, UB40 is returning to Port Moresby to perform at the Gold Club, Lamana Hotel on Friday 22 January and at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday 23rd Jan.

Tickets for the club show are selling at K250 arena, K350 balcony and K400 Temple balcony.

The outdoor stadium concert is selling at K100 for both grand stand and outer stands including the field standing area.

The group of five members, DJ Moto, DJ Joe, Lisa Viola, Laura and DJ Rasta, is Sydney's longest running and most successful Reggae, Dancehall and Afro Beats.

They’re known to perform the freshest Jamaican music including Roots Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B and Afro Beats.

For the first time in PNG, Jamrock will bring their DJs, dancers, and singer to throw down a three hour party which is not to be missed.
