The Amazing Port Moresby Carols by the Sea aims to provide fun and family-oriented entertainment for city residents during the festive season.

To be hosted in a in a safe environment, the program will celebrate the diversity of cultures in a uniting and peaceful spirt of Christmas.

This year’s lineup includes artists like Trio West Papua and Justin Wellington.

PNGFM Ltd, parent company of NauFM, Yumi FM and Legend FM announced this earlier this month.

This is the only event in PNG that recognises efforts of local and regional artists annually.

PNGFM confirmed the set date for Saturday April 29th 2017 at The Lamana Gold Club, from 7pm to 12am.

Once again, the artists will be recognized in these categories:

• Justin Kili Hall of Fame Award

• Justin Kili Lifetime Achievement Award

• Group of the Year Award

• Artist of the Year Award

The 22-year-old Hip Hop artist based in New Zealand has been invited by the Lamana Gold Club for its Export Soundwave Live music show.

Known to some as Lil Trigarow Swag, the artist has a good following here in Papua New Guinea.

Trig was born in PNG and so was his interest in the music career at age 11.

But his real shot in the music scene came when he moved to Auckland, and “started releasing music at a crazy rate”.

Trig was last in the country in 2013 – 2014 for a funeral, spending only three days.
