KPMG joins forces with Miss Bird of Paradise PNG

KPMG has come on board as the official accounting firm and scrutineers for the MBoP Pageant, reinforcing the commitment of both organisations to excellence, transparency and innovation.

KPMG will play a pivotal role by holding and managing the Trust Account for Miss Bird of Paradise PNG, ensuring the utmost integrity and accountability in all financial matters related to the event. In addition, KPMG will be responsible for managing the event's financial books, ensuring the highest standard of financial transparency.

KPMG Donates To Cheshire Services

The donation was presented by Audit Partner, Robert Maguma supported by a few colleagues from the firm on Tuesday 16 August.

Operations Manager, Tom Sarwon said the cash donation will be committed to the hosting of the Patron’s Major Fundraising later this year.

Maguma praised the good work of the Cheshire DS, which is evident in the peacefulness and the well being of the residents saying that KPMG staff are the ones who eagerly contribute to this worthy cause.

KPMG Cheer Up Children’s Cancer Ward

KPMG’s staff made a special visit to the Children’s Cancer Ward, they brought bags of gifts to share with the children, patients and staff at PMGH Pediatric Oncology Ward.

KPMG’s Head of Audit, Herbert Maguma, who delivered the donation said: “We are blessed to bring smiles and cheer to the kids at the Children Cancer Ward. With the help of Friends of POMGEN, we prepared some presents for the kids and a cash donation to assist with day-to-day operations of the Cancer Ward.

Extractive companies to disclose owners

This comes into effect immediately following the signing of a contract between PNG Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (PNGEITI) National Secretariat and auditing firm KPMG.

In a media statement, PNG EITI says the move is to identify the real owners of the companies who had acquired rights to extract oil, gas and minerals which, in many cases, were not known and often hidden behind a chain of corporate entities.
