Katy Perry told to pay $550k to Christian rapper Flame

That amount is a part of the $2.7m (£2.2m) awarded to gospel artist Flame, who has successfully sued the star for copying one of his songs.

Her label, Capitol Records, will have to pay most of the total amount.

The singer's legal team say they plan to appeal, if the case is not dismissed pending a defence motion.

Earlier this week, a US court found Katy, her producers and songwriters guilty of copyright infringement.

The pair shared the same close-up image of their faces, with Perry's hand and pink engagement ring clearly visible, from their separate Instagram accounts.

Bloom, 42, captioned it "lifetimes", while Perry, 34, wrote "full bloom".

That was the actor's message as he tried to set the record straight about him and the "Roar" singer.

The pair managed to make hay out of rumors they have been making whoopie.

It all started Sunday when Phillippe tweeted a denial, all in caps for emphasis, that he has been dating Perry.

"I am not dating Katy Perry," he tweeted. "Barely know her. Please stop flying helicopters over my house. She is not here. Thx."
