PNG snooker president passes on

Vice president of the PNG Billiards and Snooker Association, John Chan, said Fong passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning after an asthma attack in Kavieng, New Ireland Province.

“I received a phone call very early in the morning from Kavieng that Peter passed away following a massive asthmatic attack.

“It is very sad indeed to hear of this news and to pass it on to all our billiards and snooker members around the country is even harder.”

Peter Fong won several Moresby and Alotau Open Titles as well as the coveted PNG National Snooker Titles.
