Go Go Cola is proudly supporting the annual Float Parade.

“The Festival is a fantastic free community event and we are pleased to support the volunteer organising committee,” said Pacific Industries’ Greg Farrell.

"Last year’s Float Parade was a huge success and we’re looking forward to again seeing lots of colour and creativity fill the streets of Rabaul."

The world renowned Engini Baining Fire Dance is this year being sponsored by RAMS.

Gerehu school celebrates Independence day early

Wearing their red, black and gold colours of the country's flag, the students are happy to observe the day.

Principal Joe Rare said the students are having the early celebrations as their third term academic year finishes today.

He said students, teachers and parents are celebrating the occasion to impart a message to the students about the country's history.

He added that the celebration will also feature item presentations from different classes performing.

The Independence anniversary falls on September 16.
