BSP Boosts Hiri Moale Festival

The cheque was ceremoniously presented to the festival's organizing committee today, Friday, 1st March 2024, at Ravalian Haus in Port Moresby by BSP Group Chief Executive Officer Mark Robinson.

Rooted in the historical trade voyages between the Motuan people of Central Province and those of Gulf Province, the Hiri Moale Festival stands as a testament to Papua New Guinea's rich cultural tapestry. Featuring traditional dances, exhilarating canoe races, and captivating handicraft displays, the festival embodies the essence of Motuan heritage.

Air Niugini Rewards HMF Hiri Hanenamo Winners

The tickets, valued at over K70,000, include domestic and international travel.

Air Niugini's Acting CEO, Gary Seddon, expressed pride in supporting a festival that preserves cultural heritage and contributes to tourism.

The festival's winner, Miss Kimjosh Damuri, thanked Air Niugini and other organizations for ensuring the festival's success.

The Hiri Moale Festival celebrates the culture of the Motu-Koitabu people and took place in Port Moresby from March 3rd to 5th.
