GG encourages PNG athletes

He urged the athletes to be confident and believe in themselves and stay focused.

Grand Chief Sir Bob and wife Hannah Dadae are at the 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, at the invitation of the Australian Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove.

Whilst in Gold Coast, Sir Bob and Lady Hannah met the Prince of Wales, Charles, and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and attended the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.

GG acknowledges support

Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae, acknowledged the governments and people of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, France and USA, among others, for their contribution through funding, technical support and humanitarian aid.

Grand Chief Sir Bob expressed his gratitude to international organizations on the ground and working closely with the people affected by the earthquake as well as corporate organizations, the United Nations, non-government organizations, churches, and international health volunteers including doctors and those in the emergency service.

Oil palm developer to bring change to ENB

 ENB Palm Oil Mill Ltd CEO, Tan Eng Kwee said the project had been developed in the last eight years.

The ENB Governor Ereman Tobaining Jr during an agreement signing said, the signing paved the way for the development of the oil palm industry in the province.

The project agreement was signed on Thursday in Port Moresby, between the State, ENB Provincial Government and ENB Palm Oil Mill Ltd for Kairak Nucleus Oil Palm Development project.

PNG newfound belief to be tested by Tahitians tomorrow

The PNG Kapuls will be banking on home crowd support to upset the much fancy Tahitians in the first leg of the Group B FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifier. 

The return match will be played in Papeete, Tahiti on March 28.

PNG men’s team had been overshadowed by the women’s performance for a long time.

The PNG women’s are the Queens of Pacific soccer with consecutive Pacific Games Gold Medals to prove their supremacy.   

Governor General Bob Dadae acknowledges wife

That was the first statement from Papua New Guinea’s 10th Governor General after his oath of loyalty to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and the Queen of England before Chief Justice Sir Salome Injia in Parliament this afternoon.

After the official swearing in ceremony, the Governor General visited Government House accompanied by his wife, Hannah and met staff of the Governor General’s office before retiring for the afternoon.
