ESP woman sentenced four years for flex theft

Glenda Nugai was an employee of Oceania Communication when she conspired with Norman Ilikis to steal K232,000 worth of Digicel flex out of the company.

Deputy Chief Justice on Monday sentenced her to serve a term of four years at Bomana after he found her guilty of the offense on Nov 25, 2016.

The court said that sentence term can be suspended if she repays the amount stolen.

A total of 25 transactions were done by Nugai over a period of three months, from Nov, 21, 2014 to Jan 31, 2015.

Woman apologises for stealing phone credits

Glenda Nugai apologised to the court, her family and former employer of six years; Oceania Communication in court today for her part in transferring K232,000 worth of Digicel credits out from the company.

The credits were transferred on 25 different occasions to a man, known to the court as Norman Ikilis.

She asked the court to be lenient in what penalty to impose against her as sentence when she appeared before Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika with her lawyer during submissions on sentence.

Woman guilty for stealing over K200,000 phone credits

Glenda Nugai was found guilty by the Court today after she admitted to allegations she transferred K232,000 worth of Digicel credits on 25 different occasions to a man, known to the court as Norman Ilikis, who sold the credits.

This allegedly took place between a period of three months, from 21 Nov 2014 to Jan 31, 2015.
