George Clooney asks media not to publish photos of his children

The star says such images put his two children in danger, particularly due to his wife's line of work.

Amal Clooney is a human rights lawyer who, the actor notes in his letter, puts terrorist groups on trial.

His comments were published by several trade magazines, including Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline.

The actor, who has starred in Gravity and Ocean's Eleven, said he and his wife are not on social media and are protective of their children's privacy.

George Clooney earns more in one year than any previous actor

Forbes estimates the 57-year-old star made $239m (£180m) in pre-tax earnings in the year beginning 1 June 2017.

That puts him second in its annual list of the world's best-paid celebrities, a place behind boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Kylie Jenner is placed third in the Celebrity 100 countdown, having made an estimated $166.5m (£125.5m) last year.

Earlier this month Forbes said the social media star was on track to become "the youngest-ever self-made billionaire".

George Clooney makes $1 million donation to fight hate groups

The couple, through the The Clooney Foundation for Justice, have made a $1 million donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) that will fund a joint initiative to combat hate groups.

The move comes more than a week after an August 12 "Unite the Right" rally sparked violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left one woman dead and 19 injured. Two Virginia state troopers who were monitoring the protests were also killed in a helicopter crash.

Although it might sound challenging to carry off both tasks, Krasinski told CNN it was "easy."

"It sounds crazy. But in this one, it was actually very easy and bizarrely helpful to be acting in the scenes because I think there's a real disconnect when you call cut and you have to review the tape and then come and give your actors notes."

Clooney's Vow: Trump Will Not Be President

The actor spoke to reporters Thursday at the Cannes Film Festival, and he was asked about the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and what a Trump White House would look like.

"There's not going to be a President Donald Trump," Clooney stated. "That's not going to happen. Fear is not going to be ... what drives our country. We're not going to be scared of Muslims or immigrants or women. We're not actually afraid of anything. We're not going to use fear. So that's not going to be an issue."

The Academy's board said it was taking "historic action" to double the number of women and minority members by 2020 and would launch a global effort to "recruit qualified new members who represent greater diversity".

"These new measures regarding governance and voting will have an immediate impact and begin the process of significantly changing our membership composition," Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs said.

The Tomorrowland star appears to be ruffling a few feathers as he tries to gain approval on a new security system near his multimillion-dollar property in England.

According to local newspaper the Henley Standard, George and his wife Amal Clooney are seeking permission to install eight cameras on wooden poles near the grounds of their Oxfordshire, U.K. mansion. An additional 10 cameras would also be planted directly on the property.
