Flame Flour 2017 Final Fight

Emmanuel comes out on top

This was the 4th event hosted this year by the PNG Professional Boxing Gymnasium.

The first undercard fight saw Roger Wanji in the blue corner all the way from East Sepik take on Chiko Emmanuel from NCD in the red corner.

The Flame Flour 2017 Final Fight on Sunday was the first professional fight that these two boxers have entered into and they did not disappoint.

The first round saw Emmanuel step up with jabs that caught his opponent off guard. The red corner came prepared and it showed as the fight went on, ending round 1.

Final Fight all set

The event will run from 11am-5pm at Sports Inn, Port Moresby.

On show will be some of the best boxing talents PNG has to offer taking to the ring to fight for glory.

The main fight will be between Junior Kauko Raka and Francis Oaike.

Raka, from West New Britain and Morobe Province, has earned respect from many in the code after having a very well decorated amateur boxing career.

He is undefeated in his last three consecutive fights.

“No one will stand in my way to become the best in this division,” said the recently debuted pro.

Final fight set for Nov 19

The event will showcase some of the best boxing talents PNG has to offer at Sports Inn and will feature a host of new and familiar boxers taking to the ring to fight for glory.

Speaking on the sponsorship, Goodman Fielder’s marketing manager, Jeremy Fry, said Flame Flour is a brand that many people associate with fight sports and the strength and energy proposition still stands true today.
