Polling for Enga may be delayed

Provincial election manager Anton Iamau revealed this afternoon that pre-counting of ballot papers in three electorates has not been completed.

Iamau said pre-counting in Lagaip Pogera, Wabag and Wapenamanda is expected to be completed tonight before polling can commence.

Meantime, pre-counting in Kandep and Kompiam-Ambum have been completed.

Iamau adds that they’re also waiting for security personnel to arrive on ground before the one day polling can commence in the electorates.

Enga polling on schedule

Enga Provincial election manager Anton Iamau confirmed this saying that the one day polling scheduled for July 4 is set to go ahead with the preparations going well.

Iamau told Loop PNG that all 1,156 ballot boxes have arrived in the province and everything is set including security personnel on ground.

He said that there are no issues with delays.

Meantime, Iamau adds that there are enough security personnel of both police and defence force on ground to provide adequate security during polling.
