Wells gets top award in pioneer program

This was in the first ever Advanced Sport Management course of the Managing Olympic Sport Organizations (MOSO) program.

Wells, along with colleagues Sophia Tuna, Clarence Palin, Suluet Tarasomo and Helen Havora, who pioneered in doing the course in PNG, excitedly received their certificates after completing six modules of the MOSO, which was held over six weekends in Port Moresby.

The final assignment was delivering a presentation on one case study they had written on their individual national sports federation.

Swimmers eager to hit the water

The Championships will be held this weekend and President of PNG Swimming Inc (PNGSI), Elizabeth Wells, said swimmers are eager to take to the pool and race.

“A feeling of excitement and eager anticipation is being felt by the teams in both clubs as they prepare for the Championships,” said Wells.

Wells also added on that the continued sponsorship received from Theodist Limited towards the Championships allows PNGSI to provide a national competition, run under FINA rules, for athletes to showcase their talent in the pool.
