DPM secretary John Kali

Kali welcomes public servants to new working year

Kali welcome hundreds of public servants during the dedication service today facilitated by the Department of Community Development, Youth and Religion.

Kali urged public servants to reflect on their Oath of loyalty to the people and to the Government of PNG and public service values drawn from the constitution, Christian principles, traditional societies and corporate world.

Kali said: “At all times and to the best of our abilities, we must give loyal service to the State and Executive Government without fear or favour.

Department yet to get resignation list of public servants

“The records from departments and provincial administrations haven’t been sent to me yet. Only a few and (it will) be updated as time goes by,” DPM secretary John Kali told Loop PNG.

Section 56 of the Public Services (Management) Act 2014 states that an officer who wishes to contest a national election must resign no less than six months to the date of the issue of writs, and for local level government elections, one month before.
