​8 Barras players on scholarship

Cricket PNG (CPNG) made the announcement today.

 

Current HEBOU PNG Barramundis player Kila Pala and three development players, Jason Kila, Kiplin Doriga and Doura Gavera flew to Canberra last week to join their respective cricket clubs for the upcoming cricket season in Canberra.

Four (4) more players will join them in the next month or so to participate in the program which for the first time CPNG will be partnering with Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Cricket.

Cricket PNG congratulates Lewas

Cricket PNG general manager, Greg Campbell, praised the PNG Lewas on their performance during the EAP qualifiers. Lewas proved to be undefeated, ending the host team Samoa on their home soil to qualify.

“It was an extraordinary performance and I would like to congratulate all the team players and the officials on the victory,” Campbell said.

He also extended his thanks to the major sponsors, City Pharmacy Limited, for their huge support in sponsoring the team and also the relevant stakeholder Pure Water Limited.
