Christmas Carols

This calendar helps those, especially in the mainline churches to plan and carry their yearly programs of service to their followers.

At the end of the year the Christian calendar has a clear program for its Christmas program – The season of Advent – or it is a time to get ready or be prepared to meet the coming of Jesus Christ. His birth from Mother Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem.

Away in a Manger, Do you hear what I hear, Carol of the Bells, Angels we have heard on high, you know them all.

Just like the idea of Santa bringing presents to children, this tradition has fit comfortably into many societies despite its foreign origin.

They gathered as early as 6pm for the carols by candle light main program that commenced at 8pm.

The Carols by Candle light is sponsored by NCD Powes Parkop in conjunction with SP Brewery.

It is an initiative of the Hospital Poroman Foundation.

In fact, adding to the popular “We are Family”  song which brought a  group of Pacific talent  together to sing including, two of PNG’s own stars,  Digicel is holding its Carols by Candle light tonight.

A group of staff members have taken the initiative to add the Christmas festivities and already have set up stage at Digicel’s main operations office in Gordons in Port Moresby.  It is understood the Carols by Candle light will be televised live.
