Students, teachers and parents opened a double classroom and a teacher’s house.

This two initiatives at the value of K150 000 were funded by the Central Provincial Government.

Coming under projects initiated by the former Governor for Central Province Kila Haoda, the two infrastructure were completed recently and handed over to the school today.

In 2014, the four young girls were selected to undergo training at Nelson Aviation College in New Zealand after their training they are now on the streets looking for employment following a failed MOA signed between Central Provincial Government and an airline company for employment did not eventuate. 

However, Provincial Administrator, Gei Raga was overwhelmed yesterday when a Good Samaritan came on board to deliver a contract of employment for the four female pilots at Jackson Airport while farewelling Central students to study in Malaysia.

The event will be organised by standards and guidance division of the National Department of Education, supported by the Central Provincial Government.

Governor for Central Province Kila Haoda says the expo will be an annual event where students from NCD and Central would come together to seek assistance from exhibitors, from tertiary institutions and other colleges, on how to fill in their school leaver forms (SLF).

Fire  burnt down  the SRC president's residence, DODL and ATCDI buildings and the mess and a student was killed during the arson on Saturday night.

All students were asked to vacate the Unitech campus as the mess was burnt down.

The 72 Central students were privileged to return home safety today with their air fares fully sponsored by the Central Provincial Government.

Student representative Norman Bogana said they were grateful to return home but they’re sad to leave their fellow students behind.

Haoda is deeply saddened and embarrassed, ashamed and angry in the manner in which these innocent, helpless and defenseless people were attacked by few senseless and lunatic people.

He urged the people of Koiari to assist police to bring these lunatics to face the law. 

“Our people and our province’s good name have been tarnished,” Haoda said in a statement.

Haoda added that the Kokoda Track Initiative Committee’s spirit to improve the track, its security and livelihood of our Koiari people has been dampened by these few people and incident.
