Scholarships for Central Province students

K2 million is allocated to subsidise students’ tuition fees where each student will be subsidised K2, 000 each of the total fee and the rest will be paid by parents or guardians.

The scholarship scheme has given a second chance to parents in the province who have lost hope in meeting the tuition fees.

Governor Haoda said the goal for this program is to assist those parents to continue to educate their children to better their families’ well-being, the Central Province and contribute to the development of PNG.

Central Province gives vehicles to districts

Central Province Governor Kila Haoda said the vehicle is to be solely used for the purpose of service delivery in all five districts in the Central Province.

Haoda said public servants are highly paid but not much service is being delivered to the people in the community.

“When service is not delivered to the people, the district administrations are being blamed for the lack of delivery,” he said.

K100,000 for MV YWAM PNG

Central Province Governor, Kila Haoda, came good on his 2016 operational funding pledge to support the work of the medical ship.

This follows the presentation of K50,000 earlier in the year to meet the 2015 operational funding pledge.

Governor Haoda, accompanied by Central Provincial Administrator, Gei Guni Raga, said the provincial administration is proud of its partnership with YWAM Medical Ships in the Central Province.

“Our partnership with YWAM Medical Ships is an initiative that brings great joy to my heart,” said Governor Haoda.
