If the Cavaliers hope to compete in these Finals, they need LeBron James to be at his absolute best, but he was not in game two.

James looked absolutely unstoppable in a 51-point performance in game one, as he was nearly flawless driving to the basket and dropping bombs from three-point range, but Sunday he passed up several open looks from deep early and only had two shots nine minutes into the game.

James continued his dominance on Sunday, leading the Cavaliers to an 87-79 victory over the Celtics in Boston as Cleveland earned their fourth successive trip to the Finals.

Cavs superstar James scored a game-high 35 points with 15 rebounds and nine assists to see Cleveland clinch a 4-3 series win.

Elite in all facets of the game, James controlled the tempo and stepped up defensively to stop Boston's young, athletic line-up at TD Garden.

Playing for the first time in almost six weeks after recovering from a medial collateral ligament sprain, two-time MVP Curry scored 28 points in 27 minutes of action as the Warriors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 121-116 at home to open up a 2-0 advantage in their Western Conference semi-final.

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green also starred for Golden State, the former crucially collecting 15 of his 29 points in the final quarter, but Curry's impressive comeback was the big story at Oracle Arena.

The Cavaliers conceded 79 points in the first half but James led the comeback with 35 points, 17 assists and zero turnovers midweek.

In doing so, James became the first player with at least 35 points, 15 assists and no turnovers in a game since turnovers were first tracked in 1977-78.

Kevin Love, playing in just his second game back from injury, scored 23 points with 12 rebounds in 30 minutes. More importantly, he and James have displayed excellent camaraderie since his return.

Reports had suggested Thomas could feature against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, but he will instead come off the bench under a strict minutes restriction in Portland.

Thomas - who was traded to the Cavs from the Celtics in August - has missed the first 36 games of the season rehabbing a hip injury suffered in the post-season.

Coach Tyronn Lue is relishing having his new star available, and believes it will significantly strengthen the Cavs.

Mario Chalmers, Kirk Hinrich and Jordan Farmar will all be in Cleveland on Wednesday — and so will Lance Stephenson.

You may recall that LeBron and Stephenson shared some moments in the Eastern Conference finals in both 2013 and 2014, the most memorable of which involved Stephenson blowing in James’ ear during a stoppage in play.

But despite the history between the two players, LeBron said he’d have no problem with Stephenson joining the roster.
