This year marks the 14th year of BSP and CPNG partnership in hosting the program that involves elementary, primary and secondary schools in the country.

BSP Mamose Area Manager, Barry Namongo said sport is an important part of children and young people’s education, not only for their physical fitness, but to create a sense of belonging and wellbeing to a community.

Sir Kostas first joined BSP as a Director in April 2009, when the company was known as "Bank of South Pacific Limited," and later became Chairman of the Board in February 2011.

The BSP Pangia Sub-Branch in Southern Highlands reopened its doors on Wednesday 11 January, 2023, after being closed for over two months due to operational issues. The BSP Navo Sub-Branch in West New Britain Province, which closed following a break-in incident in November 2022, reopened its doors on Thursday 9 February, 2023.

BSP Retail Group General Manager, Daniel Faunt, said these branches are among 21 locations in PNG where BSP is the sole bank operating. The complete withdrawal of services would have a significant impact on the local communities.

The event in concurrent with the 2022 National Book Week saw 20 Buk bilong Pikinini students and two teachers visit the BSP POM Branch to launch the BbP 13 Books series, “When I Grow Up I want to be a Banker”.

BSP Group Chief Executive Officer, Robin Fleming officially launched the Book when reading the content to the BbP students. 

The timely donation will go towards the OOH’s funding assistance in carrying out Provincial Paediatric Cardiac Screening and Closed Heart Surgeries- Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) ligations at the Port Moresby General Hospital Cardiac Unit.

BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) yesterday presented a cheque of K75,000 to St John Ambulance PNG to support their work.

It will help enhance continue the SJA response in NCD, Central & Gulf and other centres in the country.

Chief of Ambulance Services Rigona Rita who received the cheque on behalf of St John said the donation will go towards supporting their new building construction and the national ambulance call centre, and part of the money will go into the aeromedical evacuation trust fund account.

Last Friday 20th May, 2022, the BSP Boroko Branch team commissioned GTL Trading as a BSP Cash Agent at Gaire village, Central Province.  The village has an estimated population of 10,000, and serves as a hub for small businesses, schools and government employees.

BSP Group General Manager - Retail Daniel Faunt said since 2014, BSP FHOL continues to lead the market as the most successful home loan product. BSP has assisted over 1100 families become first time homeowners, funding FHOL Loans valued at over K330 million.

Ten years ago, BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) saw the opportunity to address this need to partner with Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) Children’s Libraries, with an emphasis on serving children from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs as part of the banks community values.

Through the partnership BSP supported BbP in funding its operations at 3 libraries in Lae (Unitech), Manus and Goroka, since 2012.

The bank on Wednesday 2^nd March, 2022 donated K50,000 to the Sir Theo Foundation as the first portion of the K100,000 deal in supporting the foundation’s charitable program, aimed at assisting in the provision of health services to people in PNG who rely on the local public health system.

BSP Corporate Sponsorship Manager, Amelia Minnopu when signing off the first portion of the 2022 support said the bank acknowledged the work of the foundation and its efforts to facilitate better health outcomes for the people of PNG.
