Anslom's Global Reggae Rise

Positioned to become PNG's first international reggae sensation, Anslom is collaborating with The Wailers on a 12-track album, emphasizing positive messages and spirituality.

The recognition extends beyond the music realm, with the PNG government acknowledging Anslom's potential to boost tourism. Supported by the National Gaming Control Board, Anslom sees his music as a universal platform to promote Papua New Guinea on a global scale.

Anslom makes ICMA

The prestigious ICMA, based in Los Angeles, recognizes the achievements of the most successful artists from all continents and various music genres.
 
Anslom has secured final spots in the esteemed awards with his two hit songs, "Love Me Again" and "Keep Hurting."
 
The judging panel consists of renowned Hollywood music executives and industry professionals who have worked with globally recognized singers such as Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Nelly Furtado, and many Grammy-nominated artists.
 

Anslom a finalist for international music awards

The ISSA honours excellence in individual singer-songwriters and musicians from around the world and is based in Atlanta, Georgia, in the USA.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, where Anslom was announced as a finalist in two categories: International Band of the Year and International Male Album of the Year - Love Me Again.

Anslom continues World Tour

Following his high-energy performance in Kerala, India last November, Anslom is set to take his music to more locations worldwide, and his hit song "Love Me Again" was frequently requested on Galaxy 107 FM in New Zealand, leading to his award.

Anslom’s music has been gaining popularity in New Zealand, Europe, and the United States of America, and he has received nominations in various categories from the International Singer-Songwriters Association (ISSA) in the USA.

‘Break The Barrier’ Soon To Launch

With issues around the COVID restrictions, Anslom was unable to launch his album overseas and tour the world with the Lucky Dube band in 2020, to help promote his album and himself.

However, the singer is travelling with the team to Dubai to participate in the World Expo 2020 where he feels is an opportunity to market his album on a world stage, while promoting and representing PNG’s diverse culture.

Member for Gazelle and Minister for Health & HIV, Jelta Wong presented the artist a cheque of K50, 000 recently to carry out this exercise.

Anslom Nakikus releases first international album

That is not all. There are 200 million reggae fans loyal to the Legendary Lucky Dube genre right across the African continent who are eager to devour Anslom’s 11-song album with lyrics promoting love, peace, unity and hope.

Born Ronald Nakikus, the boy from East New Britain Province who grew up in a music environment and jammed with so many big names in the much neglected music industry of Papua New Guinea, started his solo career in 1998.
