The media launch, held at City Hall Annex, was brimming with excitement as Governor Parkop emphasized the significance of this prestigious event in showcasing Port Moresby as a regional hub for international sports.

Scheduled for Sunday, July 30, 2023, the Amazing Port Moresby International Marathon will feature three major events:

Business Owners and NCDC Management gathered to discuss the transformation project and what could be done to make the city a safer, cleaner and more livable place for all residents.

City Manager, Ravu Frank, shared that the key initiative of the city aligns with the Vision 2030 and with Urban Development Plan.

The Amazing Port Moresby Carols by the Sea aims to provide fun and family-oriented entertainment for city residents during the festive season.

To be hosted in a in a safe environment, the program will celebrate the diversity of cultures in a uniting and peaceful spirt of Christmas.

This year’s lineup includes artists like Trio West Papua and Justin Wellington.

In partnership with the National Capital District Commission, Amazing Port Moresby is hosting a student exhibition, a documentary filming paired with question and answer sessions at the APEC Haus followed by a beach clean-up and an SME market at Ela Beach and environmentally-themed performances. 

The first event starts today with the Amazing Port Moresby World Environment Day Exhibition. School project exhibitions with booths from NGOs, government agencies and corporates is on display at the APEC Haus.
