Pruaitch is Alternate PM nominee

Tari-Pori MP, James Marape, made the official announcement before this afternoon’s Parliament sitting.

Marape said Pruaitch has the full backing of the alternative camp and congratulated him.

Pruaitch expressed gratitude to the 67 members in the Laguna Camp for having the confidence in him.

He said he is humbled by the nomination.

Pruaitch said the Alternative Government will look at serious national issues and they are ready to move forward with the people of the country.

Shadow Minister welcomes World Bank report

Shadow Minister for Treasury and Finance, Ian Ling-Stuckey, said: “It is positive that international organisations, even those where governments control the Board of Directors, can bring in technical expertise and more independent commentary.

“There is much wisdom in the report, especially in terms of stimulating private sector development through competition rather than backing government besties and cronies, as well as a good focus on getting agriculture growing again.

Alternative government leaders confident to form new government

Party leaders and representatives from the former opposition parties/ranks together with the National Alliance Party are happy to join forces again.

They acknowledged that the collective experience of the various groups and positive influences that come with it will bolster nationwide support for a change in government to arrest and stabilize our spiraling economic downfall and ever-declining social ills.
