Who is Amanda Kundil?

“I am the Communications Officer for the PNG NRI Autonomy and Decentralization Research Project. I am 22 years old and I come from a mixed parentage of Western Highlands and Eastern Highlands. I graduated from the University of Papua New Guinea, majoring in English Communication.

“I have been in this position since July this year, and it is way different from my former workplace. I am kept on my toes and am learning on the job as well!

Failure of Service Delivery

The ADRP Seminar Series are held in the lead up to the National Conference in October. Discussions in the seminars are based on the capacity deterioration of basic service delivery and the weakening of National Institutions.

Political Science Lecturer from the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG), Michael Kabuni highlighted the ‘Performance of Legislative and Executive Arms of Government in Papua New Guinea.’

NRI In Information Sharing Drive

ADRP Leader, Dr. Thomas Webster addressed media personnel in a briefing today on the upcoming event, he said the National Conference will facilitate a robust discussion on;

  • Basic service delivery systems
  • The extent of capacity deterioration
  • Weakening of national institutions and
  • Governance and oversight in Papua New Guinea.

 

Dr. Webster explained: “The objectives are to facilitate an informed national conversation with dialogue and information sharing.”
