According to a News Corp report, ARLC chair Peter V’landys informed clubs of the decision on Wednesday following the announcement of a $50 million surplus for the NRL.
The meeting didn’t exactly run smoothly though with reports at least two club CEO’s engaged in a heated discussion after they learnt that they clubs will not receive additional funding.
All 16 clubs currently receive an annual grant of $13 million, but were hoping for an additional $1 million each.
