Kroton Hela Wigmen captain Valentine Culligan has set sight on making it all the way to the 2023 PNG Hunters 30-man squad when the team is finalized in the New Year, 2023.
Culligan who was also part of the 2021-22 preseason camp, however, due to studies did not make the final squad.
While opportunities may come once, for Wigmen’s captain Valentine Culligan getting a 2nd chance to make it back into PNG Hunters training squad was a blessing and on merit after leading his team to another gutsy premiership title win in 2022.
After forgoing such opportunities on several occasions in the past due to studies, the bulky Western Highlander is now refocusing his goal to fighting for a spot in the Hunters when the team is finalized after the Christmas New year break.
With his Digicel Cup experience, Culligan is also prepared to learn from coach Stanley Tepend and senior Hunters boys to harness his skills and game techniques.
The Wigmen’s inspirational captain will add weight and aggression to the Hunters pack in 2023 if picked in the final squad.
