Telikom, HOC sign sponsorship agreement

Kumul Telikom Holdings Limited and the host organising committee last week put pen to paper, signing a sponsorship agreement to ensure the successful delivery of 7th PNG Games.

Telikom acting CEO, Xavier Victor, said the partnership is worth over a million kina.

“We are pleased to be in partnership with the host organising committee to be partners in delivering the Games.

“For nearly two years now, we’ve been working behind the scenes to provide the best communications infrastructure in Kimbe to make sure we are able to deliver the best for PNG.

“We have EMTV by way of providing live coverage of the opening and closing ceremony, and throughout the entire two weeks will be providing highlights of all the sports played.

“We will also be covering the radio sector through our subsidiary company - FM 100. We also have bmobile to deliver SMS services to provide updates of the Games.”

Chairman of the HOC, Reuben Kautu, thanked Telikom for coming on board as the official communications provider for the Games.

“This will help meet the objective of the games to bring the Games to the people and to identify hidden talent that is out there.”
