Pukpuks slot in two losses and a win

The PNG Pukpuks finished third in their pool with one win and two losses at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Slotted into Pool A, the Pukpuks took on Scotland in their opening match yesterday going down 27-0.

The Pukpuks were smoked by giants South Africa receiving a 52-0 whipping, but came out on top in their last match of the day beating Malaysia 31-5 last night.

Tries went to Emmanuel Guise, William Tirang, Wesley Vali and a double to Gairo Kapana.

The medal playoffs for rugby sevens will start at 1:55pm this afternoon at Robina Stadium.

Pool A consists of Scotland, PNG, South Africa and Malaysia.

Women’s Bronze Medal Match: Canada vs England (1:55pm)

Men’s Bronze Medal Match: England vs South Africa (2:17pm)

Women’s Gold Medal Match: Australia vs New Zealand (2:39pm)

Men’s Gold Medal Match: Fiji vs New Zealand (3:01pm)
