Progress noted in Hunters’ training camp

Day three of training for the SP PNG Hunters was met with a bit of rain yesterday afternoon at the Kimbe Rugby Oval, West New Britain Province.

Head coach Michael Marum is pleased so far with the progress in the training camp.

The team has so far bonded well with a retreat to one of the outer islands with West New Britain Governor Sasindral Muthuvel over the weekend.

Monday (Sept 4) afternoon's training run at the Kimbe Rugby Oval was part of a week-long training camp as a lead up to the major semifinals of the Intrust Super Cup.

The SP PNG Hunters will play the Redcliff Dolphins on the 10th of September for a direct entry into the Intrust Super Cup grand final.

The loser of the match will have one more chance to make a grand final appearance.

Fans and residents of Kimbe turned up to witness the Hunters in training on Monday.
