PNGSF allocates K500,000 for overtime claims

The PNG Sports Foundation (PNGSF) has allocated K500,000 to settle the overtime claims of the workers of Parohu Contractors.

The skilled workers of Parohu built the PNG Football Stadium and the Bava Park for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Chief Executive Officer of the PNGSF, Peter Tsiamalili Jr, assured the workers they will be paid after a meeting on Wednesday this week.

He said the state steering committee had made the funds available for the overtime claims to be paid.

The state steering committee comprises representatives from the PNGSF, Department of National Planning and Monitoring and the Department of Finance.

Tsiamalili Jr said there were 39 other services providers from the World Cup and that they will be paid once the state steering committee finalises payments.
