PNGRFL thanks Guru for services

The PNG Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) has thanked outgoing Chairman of the PNG National Rugby League (PNG NRL), Sudhir Guru for his six years of dedicated service to the organisation.

Guru recently resigned as Chairman of the PNG NRL, with franchise owner of the Lae Snax Tigers, Adrian Chow being appointed his successor.

“On behalf of the PNGRFL and the rugby league family in PNG, I want to thank Sudhir for his six years of dedicated service to the PNG NRL.

“He’s brought the organization to a level where it is a very successful organization. Financially, it is in a very healthy place today, and that’s mostly due to Sudhir’s stewardship, the management, the franchise owners and the board of the PNG NRL.

“We thank you for your service,” said Chairman of the PNGRFL, Sandis Tsaka.

Chow added on that Guru has made a great contribution to rugby league in the country.

“Sudhir was a significant contributor to the development of our national competition. Some of his significant achievements were the introduction of new franchises such as Gulf Isapea and the reintroduction of other franchises like Waghi Tumbe.

“Sudhir leaves us in a very good state. Thank you,” said Chow.
