Opportunity to meet PNG Residents players

Port Moresby residents will have a chance to meet the PNG U23 Residents players this Friday.

The players have been divided into four groups and will be at the Ticket Mastas outlets at Cool Stuff – Waterfront and the three Brian Bell outlets at Vision City, Homecentre at Gordon’s and Boroko Plaza between 11am and 12 noon.

PNGNRLC Manager, Stanley Hondina, said: “This is your chance to meet and greet the players, wish them luck and get a selfie or a photo.”

Hondina added the players will also promote ticket sales for this Sunday’s first ever match against New South Wales U23 Country at the Oil Search National Football Stadium, Port Moresby.

He said ticket prices range from K10 for the Northern and Southern stand to K300 for the club lounge.

Ticket prices:

  • Club lounge - K300
  • Grandstand - K50
  • Western stands - K30
  • Eastern stand - K20
  • Northern / Southern stand - K10

“The prices are affordable for all to come and watch on Sunday,” Hondina said.

Oil Search National Football Stadium general manager Lee Pokarop encouraged people to buy their tickets early.

“Tickets are selling fast so buy your tickets at any of these outlets,” Pokarop said. “Save yourself from standing in a queue in the hot sun at the stadium on Sunday as no tickets may be available for sale on game day so don’t miss out.”

He added sporting matches between PNG and Australia only help to build on the strong relationship between the two countries.

Gates at the Oil Search National Football open at 11am on Sunday October 14, 2018.
