Nadi Aviators mean business

16 weeks of intense training has the Nadi Aviators ready to finally win the elusive Melanesian Club Championship Cup this year, says coach Vela Tawake.

Tawake said this upon the team's arrival after lunch today.

"We're very happy with the reception we got today,” said Tawake.

"For about 80 percent of us, this is our first time here so we're really excited.

"We've had much better preparation for the match. We've been in training since November so expect a good game on Saturday.

"We are Melanesian brothers so we have to share. It's about time we take the Cup back home to Fiji."

Captain and prop, Josateki Sovau, added his team won't go down without a fight compared to the last two meets, adding the team remains confident.

"We're going to do a lot better this year."

The Lae Snax Tigers and Nadi Aviators’ match kicks off at 1pm at the National Football Stadium.

"We're really looking forward to Saturday," said Tawake.
