MKRLA grand final tomorrow

The Motu Koitabu Rugby League Association, will stage its first ever grand final tomorrow at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium.

The draw for tomorrow sees:

11am- St. Michael vs Eki Vaki (U16 school boys)

1pm- Porebada Bulldogs vs Mirigini Sharks (U20 Men’s)

3pm- Tatana Island Fairfax vs Baruni Eagles (A Grade Men’s)

“We had a very good season. For the very first time, we had our season proper competition (13s).

“Initially we planned to run a 10 team competition this season, but there was a lot of interest from the Motu Koitabu villages, so we allowed 16 teams, “said Chairman of the MKRLA, Pipi Dae Boe.

He finished by thanking all the sponsors plus NCD Governor, Powes Parkop and Minister for Lands & Physical Planning, Justin Tkatchenko for their continued support to the MKRLA.

He said the MKRLA competition will definitely get bigger and better next year, with plans to introduce a women’s division.
