Mioks stomp over Wigmen

The EPG Enga Mioks pulled off an upset beating Kroton Hela Wigmen 24-4 in the first match of round seven of the Digicel Cup.

The Mioks hit the front after five minutes through a penalty converted by halfback Jeffrey Para Saturday afternoon at the National Football Stadium.

Former SP Hunters playmaker, Roger Laka was instrumental having a hand in two tries scored to put the Mioks out to a 12-0 lead by half-time.

The Wigmen narrowed the score to 12-4 midway through the second half when they went wide sending Ian Maliaba over to score.

But this was all from the Wigmen as Mioks scored two more times through Levai Bobby and Junior Bobby to set up an easy win.
