Team Manager of Hekari United FC, Vonnie Kapi Natto says the majority of Hekari players in the current PNG Kapuls squad have made it known to her they will be withdrawing from the national men’s team.
This comes after the news was made official yesterday of Hekari’s withdrawal from the semi-professional Telikom National Soccer League (NSL) competition.
“As a manager, I have been communicating with them. To be honest with you, they sympathise with us. They said if we can start again, that’s fine. We can build another organisation.
"To be honest with you, the majority of them are withdrawing,” said Kapi Natto.
She said the current PNG Kapuls squad has current and former Hekari players totalling up to 14 players.
