The team managed to gain timely financial support from the corporate sponsor, Digicel PNG Limited, to help with their preparations.
Chairman of the Digicel Wantoks team Robert Hegoi said the K3,000 cheques given will assist them with their affiliation fee as they register for the 2017 season.
Hegoi thanked Digicel PNG Limited and the Digicel PNG CEO, Brett Goschen, for the timely presentation.
Goschen says Digicel is delighted to support the four participating teams, which involves two men’s and two women’s teams.
He is looking forward to seeing the staff get involved and enjoy the competition.
The 2017 competition is set to start in January 14th, with the grace period registrations still open.
