The initial preparations for the planned Central Sepik Mini stadium in Maprik has started with the first Mobilization payment.
In a recent update on social media, Sepik Pride Franchise Chairman Bradley Simon acknowledged East Sepik Governor Allan Bird for his vision to support talents in realizing their dreams in sports. Simon added it is a pathway to change how they think and see life, instead of indulging in illegal activities.
The Chairman said having standard sporting facilities will only attract and encourage more young men and women to play sports. The facility can also attract bigger events to the province.
Simon extended his thankyou to Provincial Administrator Samson Torovi and his team for supporting such a worthy cause with K272,000 mobilization payment to get the work up and running for the Maprik Mini stadium.
"I can't wait to see this project up and running," an excited Simon said.
All sporting grounds in Wewak, Angoram, Drekikir and Wosera will be improved as well.
