Bava Park venue to be complete in time for FIFA games

Infrastructure work at Bava Park will hopefully be completed by the end of this week.

Currently under preparations for the FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup which starts on Sunday November 13, contractors have been working around the clock to get the game venue prepared on time.

So far, the grand stands have been put in place around the gaming arena and three of the venues flood lights out of the four lights that will light up the venue in the evening have already gone up.

The last one will be put up by this week.

Contractors have given great assurance that PNG is ready to host the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2016.

Team Venezuela arrived last Thursday and teams Korea Republic and Brazil arrived early Sunday morning at the Jacksons International Airport.

Games are set to begin on Sunday November 13.
