Barras thumped by Hong Kong

A batting collapse on day three of the round seven Intercontinental Cup match saw the Hebou PNG Barramundis lose to Hong Kong by an innings and 29 runs.

Hong Kong were finally all bowled out for 348, giving them a lead of 111 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, United Arab Emirates.

214 of Hong Kong’s runs came off the bat of captain Babar Hayat, who smashed a double century.

His knock included twenty-seven 4s and six 6s to finish unbeaten.

The Barras’ second innings only lasted 33.5 overs after Ehsan Khan (5/13) and Nadeem Ahmed (4/43) demolished the batting attack. Barras opener, Tony Ura, top scored with 16 runs to his name.

The Barras only managed 82 runs resulting in Hong Kong being declared winners.
