Barras to play two more lead up matches

The Hebou PNG Barramundis will play two more lead up matches before traveling to Canberra to take on the ACT XI in the curtain raiser to the Prime Minister’s XI and Sri Lanka match.

The Barramundis will take on NSW XI twice, firstly in a 50 over match at Hustville Oval this Sunday followed by a T20 fixture the following day (Monday) at Blacktown.

They then leave for Canberra for the T20 match against the ACT XI.

Captain of the Barramundis, Assad Vala, said the lead up matches plus the ACT match will be a good experience for the team.

“We want the best opportunity playing against quality players and teams who we watch on TV. It is a great experience for us, playing against players who play in the Big Bash.

“We know these games are very important for us and we can’t take it lightly in preparing us for a very busy international schedule for the year,” said Vala.
